OPERATIONS ASSISTANT: Operations Assistant is responsible for ensuring all tour personnel is informed and prepared for their daily work duties when running tours at Klukwan. This position also handles to running the gift shop and helping with lunch.
PORT SUPERVISOR: Port Supervisor is responsible for overall supervision of operations at the Portage Cove Dock. This position is also accountable for ensuring proper maintenance of all marine facilities and vessels.
CAPTAIN: This position is accountable for navigating the assigned vessel according to JKCT operational guidelines and US Coast Guard regulations, including maintenance of the vessel, safety of the passengers and crew, customer service and overall efficiency.
PASSENGER SERVICE AGENT: Passenger service agent provides assistance and related customer services at the ticket counter, gate and boarding area. Duties include servicing customers by performing meet and greets, check-in, watercraft boarding/disembarking and ticketing. This position requires excellent customer service skills and experience in using computerized booking systems.
PURSER: Purser is responsible for passenger safety; comfort and providing narration while at sea onboard the vessels. Strong public speaking ability and experience using PA systems required. Understanding of passenger booking systems and basic principles of accounting preferred
TOUR COORDINATOR: Tour Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, managing and coordination of daily tours and collection of services provided to cruise lines and other customers. This position serves as the liaison between the company and cruise lines as well as the transportation companies. Applicants must have tourism industry background with experience in financial transactions and customer service.
BOOKKEEPER: Bookkeeper maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions. Perform accounting work, including but not limited to performing work of a diverse character; serving as a bookkeeper; purchasing materials and equipment; conducting invoice activities; paying vendors for delivered materials; providing inventory support; and performing clerical/ administrative functions.
CARVER
: Performs a 20 minutes carving demonstration for our customers. Engage with customers in an interactive way and inform them about the historical aspects of the carving projects.
COOK: Cook is responsible for preparing and serving the lunch at the Hospitality House. Ensure adequate amount of food is prepared based on customer count. Clean and organize the Hospitality House and surrounding area for customer’s enjoyment. Prepare the food being conscious of the cost involved
DECKHAND: This position requires strong seamanship skills with mechanical knowledge and some experience with diesel engines. Must be able to work as a team member and be comfortable interacting with guests.
DOCK REP: Dock Rep is responsible for meeting and instructing arriving/departing guests to their tour. Qualified employee must possess the knowledge of the entire tour and able to explain all the facts to guests. Applicants must have strong public skills and understanding of financial transactions. Dock Reps. represent the company to cruise lines, groups and individual customers.
DRIVER: Driver is responsible for transportation of customers and crew in safe and timely manner. Duties include certain level of maintenance and cleaning. Commitment to safety, clean driving record and CDL License with passenger endorsement required. People skills are a must as driver are required to provide narration when needed.
FISH DEMO STAFF: Performs a 20 minutes fish cutting demonstration for our customers. Engage with customers in an interactive way, inviting them to be part of the process.
KITCHEN HELP: This position’s main duty is to assist cook to prepare and serve lunch at the Hospitality House.
NATIVE DANCE PERFORMER: Perform a 30 minutes native dance program according dance program guidelines.
TOUR HOST: This position is responsible for providing information to customer about the native culture, art and history of Chilkat Valley area. Trail host ensure our guest receives a memorable and professional nature experience.
